EXPLORING THE MASTERS

Over the past few weeks I have been doing a photography course which explores and studies a new photographic master each week. The course is lead by the incredible tutor, Don Giannatti, who is based in the States.

It’s been such an incredible experience and really amazing to learn how the masters used to deal with light, composition, posing and post production. They all shot on film and didn’t have photoshop to assist them, although they did have the dark room! The idea of the course is you have one week to study the photographer and then you are tasked to create 2 images which are inspired by them.

We are half way through the 8 week course already. It’s been an incredible journey and I’ve learnt a lot, gained a lot of confidence and ultimately had a lot of fun with Aleisha and Andy who have been very patient models for me.
